Video Games Old but Gold #28: Kid Icarus

I remember this game like it was yesterday.

Kid Icarus is an action Platformer, developed by Nintendo R&DI and TOSE and published by Nintendo, released for the NES in 1986.

I wasn’t born in 1986. I was born in 1995 but I was lucky enough to play this as a child when my parents had an NES. I was able to play a lot of older games because of them.

Looking at this screenshot brings back memories of this game. This used to be my favorite game for the NES at the time and it was pretty difficult when I was younger because of the platform layout or I just wasn’t that good at the time, but that made me better at other Platformer games in the future.

Have you guys played Kid Icarus?

  1. I was born in 1994 but I’ve never had the chance to play Kid Icarus. My first console was SEGA and I remember a lot of great games I used to play on it. thank you for sharing this, it made me remember good old days!
