Review: Just Cause 3

Time for another amazing video game review!

If you guys remember my Just Cause 3 Collector’s Edition Unboxing, I got the PlayStation 4 game along with it and I finally had the time to play it so now I will give you my review~

Just Cause 3 was developed by Avalanche Studios and published by Square Enix in 2016. This is an action-adventure 3rd person shooter and an open-world game with a huge arsenal of weapons, vehicles, and gadgets to use on Rico’s epic adventure.

Now I’ve played Just Cause and Just Cause 2 and I loved those and this one made the franchise even better. You start out as the main character, Rico Rodriguez, and he sets out to the Mediterranean Island Republic of Medici, which is Rico’s homeland to join the rebellion to overthrow the dictator, General Di Ravello. Rico gets help from his old friend, Mario Frigo and scientist Dimah Al-Masri who are also part of the rebellion. Di Ravello discovered Bavarium, which is an explosive mineral that can be used to take over the world.

Now I will tell you that if you use too many explosives at one time, you will destroy the frame rate and this game will lag like crazy. I’ve experienced that a couple of times because I was a little ‘Michael Bay’ crazy with the explosives. Just Cause in general is literally the ‘Michael Bay’ of video games and I love it. I love the freedom of just blowing shit up and destroying this beautiful island. You can also use the grappling hook to fly around and climb mountains, which makes things much faster.

Overall, this is a fun game if you love blowing things up. The only problem I had was the frame rate but that’s understandable. When you do a lot of explosives at one time, the frame rate is going to go crazy so it’s okay. Usually when I’ve had a bad day, I turn to this game and blow everything up. It helps 🙂

Have you guys played Just Cause 3?
