Review: The Order: 1886

Time for a review of The Order: 1886!

So this game was really unique in a way. I remember hearing about it at a E3 press conference, I think in 2013 and The Order: 1886 got a lot of bad reviews but I am going to tell you what I think.

The Order: 1886 is set in obviously 1886, in London, England, more in a Neo-Victorian era. The British Empire was reaching an increase in economic development due to the industrial revolution. But behind it all, there was a battle between the “Order” and werewolves.

The gameplay is a 3rd person shooter and you can use more technological weapons that are not of its time. There is a crossbow, shotgun, sniper rifle, and even an Ark gun, which fires current so you can blow enemies away.

Beautiful graphics, stunning detail and honestly, a short game. I finished this game in about 9 hours. There are more cinematic cutscenes than actual gameplay which is okay with me. Also, the game is also not as challenging as you think so if you’re looking for something with a challenge, this is not for you. This game is fairly easy.

I liked this game overall, even if it was short, theatrical, and easy. This game is good if you’re not looking for a challenge and just want to play a short game with a lot of story.

What do you think of The Order: 1886?
